Meet our 2021 Summer Interns!

Radnor Financial Advisors is pleased to welcome our two Financial Planning Interns for the Summer, Jason Swartz and Max Elfenbein!

Jason Swartz is from Upper Dublin, Pennsylvania and is majoring in economics with a minor in math at Temple University. He is a member of the university honors society and a member of the Temple Finance association. He has been named to the Dean’s list every semester and has a 3.96 GPA. Outside of school he loves to bike, golf, travel, and trying to make new food.

Unfortunately he didn’t realize he wanted to go into Financial Planning until later in his college career, but he choose Radnor because he loved the fact that it was a fee only financial firm, so he knew that the decisions he made would be in the best interest of the client. He chose financial advising because he loves the concept of helping people better their lives because of the service he provides, in addition to the fact that he can talk with and make connections with so many different types of people. So far Radnor has been so great because of everyone here and he is really looking forward to the rest of the summer!

Max Elfenbein is a Corporate Finance and Financial Planning double major in the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He is a member of both the University Honors College and the Fox Honors College. He participates in both the Financial Planning Association and the Temple Finance Association. He recently was appointed as the Director of Communications on the eBoard of the Temple FPA chapter for the 2020-2021 academic year. He currently carries a 3.83 GPA and has made the Dean’s list 5 out of his 6 semesters at Temple.

He wanted to go into financial planning because he felt that working with clients to achieve their goals would be a very rewarding experience. He wanted to intern at RFA because it is a fee-only RIA that puts its employees in the best position possible to work in the best interest of their clients. So far, he has greatly enjoyed the close-knit company culture and has already learned a lot about the planning process and growing client relationships.

He was born in Philadelphia, but grew up in Media, PA where he attended Penncrest High School. Away from the office he is an avid golfer and Philadelphia sports fan. His favorite team is the 76ers and he is currently enjoying the playoff run.
